Rorschach watched, observing as for a moment the resemblance to a genteel, spoiled cat melted away, leaving something far more deadly in its place. It was like observing what he thought was a mere housecat turning out to be a small mountain lion instead. Fascinating.

He wondered if perhaps maybe Lestat wasn't as much a fool as he'd thought as he saw that pampered housecat look come back over his face, so smoothly done he would have thought what had just happened to be an illusion if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes.
