The fact that Levi was willing to stick around finally got Rorschach to lift up his head. He was surprised and his mask reflect that, the dots coalescing right in the middle before splitting off into the four corners rapidly. He'd had very few people in his life who'd ever wanted to genuinely help him, especially when he was often deliberately prickly and difficult to get along with in an attempt to drive them away.

To hear Levi did it because he felt he owed Rorschach something was also surprising. He'd never thought of what he'd done as being worthy of someone returning the favor someday. After a long pause, he finally said a single word. "Okay."

He'd let Levi try to help him and see where it got the pair of them.
