It's.. definitely strange, hearing that. It's not as strange in the light of how relatively kindly Chloe has been treating him all this time, but it is strange to hear sympathy for it being expressed at all. Everyone back home was just trying to survive, after all. From Billy's point of view no one really had time to think about anyone else but themselves back there. No time for sympathy. Just for getting by.

It's like Billy's body heat is somehow getting a little bit hotter, though not painfully so.
