Only one other has been witness to her inquiring further into the Darkwalker's whereabouts, in attempting to make her way towards scenes where it was last sensed — and for the moment, Lalo has deemed it necessary to keep her secrets, to not reveal his suspicions to anyone else. Whether that's because he's decided it's better to avoid making an enemy of her or he has some deeper-seated plan in mind remains unclear, but nevertheless, Lanfear knows better than to underestimate him, or anyone else whose path she happens to cross.
While she has no clear reason to enter the church, it had been the last place the Darkwalker's presence had been sensed, but she's not expecting to find anyone else there until the door opens and a man comes into view — one whose name she doesn't know, whose face is presently unfamiliar.
For all intents and purposes, Lanfear schools her face into a look of surprise, as if he's succeeded at startling her, pressing a pale hand to her chest. "My apologies," she murmurs, glancing past him to the church doors. "I didn't realize anyone else would be here at this hour."
