Chopping wood is as good an outlet as any. Scratch has to stay conditioned somehow (an axe can be messy and quick but, hey, it gets the job done), and he can imagine the logs he's splitting are the blurry faces of people on his personal list.

He finishes splitting Barry the current hunk of wood open, then gives the other man an amused-and-hopefully-humble sort of look.
