Phrases seem to work. He doesn't know why that is, but the little pieces of Inuktitut that sometimes slip from his mouth seem to remain as he's spoken them. He's heard French, Spanish, Latin - it seems to be a matter of wanting to be understood, rather than the direct or literal translation.
He's going to need Raju to repeat himself though. He has a knack for picking up languages, but he needs to hear it a few more times before he can wrap his brain around the new sounds. It's lovely, that one little piece of himself from home. Raju sounds like he should as he curls his lips and tongue around the language from his home.
