"But I went to that meeting," he hurries to add, glancing at Francis' face and looking back down after. "And you needed someone here. And there wasn't anyone else, so I had to wait."
The bandage is off. Inch by inch, Raju inspects the underside of it. "Then..." He shrugs. "You said you cared for me. You slept. They seemed like terrible dreams, and sitting you up to bandage you wasn't... easy for you either. It's probably better that you don't remember much."
