Lalo's relief is palpable. He's glad to hear that she was real, and not a fever dream. It means his condition isn't as bad as he feared. "That's great news," he says, and he means it.

He does allow himself a moment of self-pity, though. "I feel like such an old man like this. Did you know I've never been sick like this before, Randvi? I never got sick much, as a kid."
