Well, it's not exactly like he finds himself disagreeing with those words. There's a part of him that's skeptical - and above all, worried - enough to believe that it can't quite be so easy in this place, that some people will always find reason to be at odds with each other. But just as he personally said even to Crozier before-- all he wants here is just some peace.
