He nods and steps back to watch Rorschach work. Once the other man steps back he steps up to the hole and peers at it for a moment while adjusting his gun and satchel so they won't fall off or get in the way. He then pulls himself up through the hole. He hasn't done something like this in quite some time, so he's a bit slower than he could be. But, aside from being slightly malnourished, he's still in pretty good shape from all those army drills.

Once up he moves aside and looks down at Rorschach. If the other man needs a hand he'll give it, but he figures offering unprompted would be insulting.
