Hickey continues pawing and scratching, whimpering in a totally pathetic manner as he does so. This is just normal dog behavior and he is a normal dog. Hell, might as well look sad and pathetic as he does so! Look at how big his eyes are! Look at how droopy his ears are! Isn't this just the most pathetic creature you've ever seen in your life?

Hickey lets out a plaintive little howl as he does so. Yeah he's laying it on a bit thick, but it's not like Crozier has any reason to suspect what's going on in the first place. Just look at this poor, pathetic little dog who absolutely doesn't want to scope out your house and see what it's like inside.
