[ This place is such a strange adjustment, and for everything that's familiar (being trapped somewhere cold and unforgiving), there's much that is unfamiliar (all of these people from so many different places, people who don't know his norms, his way of life, and he doesn't know theirs in turn). It's certainly.... a stress, and although he's willing to adjust to whatever is most comfortable for Kate here, there's an immediate relief that she goes with what's most familiar for him. Mr. Little would be fine, truly, but Lt. Little is certainly where his comfort zone is at its most comfortable.

....And there's a thought, quiet and strange. He hasn't been referred to by any companions as "Mister Little" in.... a very long time. Those three years on the ice felt like so much longer, and it was Lieutenant Little that he needed to be; that was his role. That's who he wishes to be, to remain. ....Isn't it?
