He has no idea what he's expecting but that isn't it. A prison, but it sounds more literal. Eren has been in cells a frankly absurd amount of times for someone his age. Sometimes it's been his own fault; the last time was entirely his own fault, and plenty of people paid the price for that. Sometimes it was fear of the unknown, lock the titan boy in a cell to keep everyone safe. That first cell seems like a thousand years ago now.

He tilts his head and actually looks at her.

"A…needle?" he asks. He knows what hypodermic style needles are. He sifts through his layers of memories. His father was a doctor before getting stuck on the island (and after, but the technology was different). Eren himself spent plenty of time in a hospital. That kind of treatment isn't common, though he sort of gets what the point is.

"You mean they drugged you? Wait, do you think this place is something you're dreaming?"
