Especially considering what happened to all of townsfolk. At least some of them might have made it out of it alive. Kate's hoping they did.

"After that, all the electronics stopped working — except when there's Auroras. Somehow, it seems to bring everything to life again." she pauses, digging into her satchel for something. After a moment, she pulls out her cell phone to show him. "My phone works, but I can't get any signal on it."
