OCTOBER CATCHALL

Who: Jane and you!
What: Jane moves into the gas station and gets settled into Milton.
When: Throughout the month of October
Where: Milton

Content Warnings: As always, references to drug use and addiction. Other warnings TBA.

I. THE GAS STATION | OPEN | NIGHTTIME
The gas station seems like a good place to settle to Jane. She digs the vibe. It's been mostly picked through, but there are a few non-perishable foods left, and there's an employee break room with a small cot to sleep in. The bell that digs whenever someone opens the front door feels like a convenient alarm system, too.

The auroras are frequent, which is nice, because it means the microwave and the coffee machine work. The only problem is that Jane has to listen to some annoying bitch crying the whole time, which probably has some spooky secret meaning that she can't bring herself to care about. Whatever. Jane has a way of dealing with that, too.

Whenever Enola's sobbing or breathing become too irritating, she turns up the convenience store's music system and blasts the songs that they have already got cued up to play, loud enough to be heard by anyone approaching the store. She sits down at the register, a cup of shitty gas station coffee in hand, music blaring, and reads whatever magazine or newspaper happened to be hidden under the register.

She only looks up when the soft ding of the bell alerts her to someone entering. "There's coffee on," she says, looking up from her paper. She watches them intently. "Help yourself."

II. THE GAS STATION | OPEN | DAYTIME
Jane has taken to being awaken at night and sleeping during the day. So if you happen to arrive at the gas station during the day, you'll get a completely different greeting. At first the store will seem empty, only for a girl with long dark hair, wearing nothing but a sleep shirt, to appear from the back area, rubbing her eyes blearily.

"Hey, uh," she says. "Sorry, I live here. Do you need anything?"

III. THE COMMUNITY HALL | OPEN | ANYTIME
This is Jane's first real visit to The Community Hall since she arrived. She doesn't trust it, and she doesn't trust the people who live there. The things she's heard about Methuselah, if nothing else, set her on edge, and she doesn't trust his whole Obi Wan Kenobi schtick. But she's been told there's a noticeboard there, and she does want to know what's going on around here.

You might find Jane glancing over the noticeboard, anxiously looking around The Community Hall, or even poking around in the basement, looking at the stores.

IV. 5 BEAR'S BEND | CLOSED TO WILLIAM GIBSON
Sometime after her visit to the Community Hall, there's a knock on Billy's door. When he opens the door, he'll see a young woman in her mid-20s, shivering in the cold, staring at him curiously.

"Hey, uh," she says anxiously. "There was a note on the board that said I could a talisman thingy here?"
