He nods, understanding that position all too well. The US Marshals often had to work with other agencies that were known to fuck things up so they could take the credit for something. There wasn't a direct parallel here, but close enough.

"It's a half trust for some, trust enough that they'll stay in their lane and keep their word for the sake of what we're gettin' outta it. If it makes you feel any better, I'm gonna be watchin' your back. Best as I can, anyway."

He juts his chin out a little at the people gathered.

"Just watch those around you and you'll be fine. I've found once you lean a little on that half trust, go with your instincts, things move smoothly if no one is an asshole or an idiot. Then again, ain't that always the math on success rates - variables of assholes and idiots. You plannin' on joinin' us on two feet or four?"
