GIRLS NIGHT, GIRLS NIGHT!
Who: Various!
What: Girls Night!
When: Early in the month!
Where: Ruby's House
Content Warnings: N/A Will update as necessary
[A few days after putting the ad up on the bulletin board, the promised evening has arrived. Ruby has a banner hanging up on the patio of her cabin that reads “GIRLS NIGHT” and every once in awhile she can be seen at the door checking for new arrivals, or poking her head up at a window to do the same.
Her cabin is interesting to say the very least. She did her best to clean up all the clutter but it's pretty obvious she isn't exactly the cleanest person in town. Her giant scythe and snowboard are hanging by the door. And there's a green gem sword on display above her fireplaces' mantle with a little hand carved plaque that reads “The Protector of Mantle.” There's also a framed photograph of her looking a couple years younger with her team from home. The kitchen is a bit of mess with a few obvious scorch marks, melted bits on the counter, and just signs that there had been more than one fire in there.
But she had managed to gather up as much as she could for the big party. Including a handful of basic snacks like cookies, chips, and whatever she scrounge up that didn't require any actual cooking skills. There are a handful of games like Risk, Connect 4, and a partially torn up game of twister. There's even an old red and blue boom box playing some hits from the 80's and 90's courtesy of Kate Marsh like Eye of the Tiger, Can't Touch This, I Don't Want To Miss a Thing, If You Want To Be my Lover, and Hit Me Baby, One More time, and many more!]
[OOC: Feel free to make a top level! I'll have one up soon myself! Anyone is free to mingle or try to infiltrate the party.
Feel free to contact me at jjabarrett on plurk or discord for any plotting]

His bleeding empathy has been his downfall more than once — it's made him too-affected by things, absorbing them, reflecting them — it makes him sensitive, so sensitive. He's sensitive to everything, all raw nerves and anxious energy. He sees Tim cross his arms tightly, and he thinks maybe he's upset again. (From what, he can't pinpoint, but it's something.) The boy is so very hard to read, but the words are there in front of Little's eyes, he just can't quite decipher the language. All he has is the feeling he absorbs from him, and it's often been hostile, upset, challenging...
...but now, none of those things. Tim seems to answer earnestly and cleanly, with no wry layers or rippling anger, and Edward blinks at him. (Does he understand why so many tonight have been left disturbed and agitated by him? Does he grasp it?) But then there's this, a nod to a thoughtfulness; he's managing such a thing? A farm, a way to give animals water? He has a thing he doesn't want to neglect, is the specific word he uses. A thing he clearly has some concern about. ]
Is that... something you manage on your own?

He doesn't know where to begin to explain to this walking relic that Wayne Enterprises moves more men to action than his Navy ship ever did, that every 9-to-5 is a piece in the puzzle to shift with care, that he owns the fucking thing and he never wanted--
Bruce returned and never even asked.
Tim glances skyward for a half-a-second again. He lets the slight roll off, the way he had let barbed compliments pass with Mikalek in Moscow. Little isn't like Mikalek at all. But business is business, and Tim explains.] The fail-safe is functional. It has been every time I tested it. If the fire jumps the pit, which it shouldn't, then the first and only thing it can burn before making a second jump are the logs holding the water drums in place. They'll flood half the room, yeah, but the fire will get put out all the way.
[In another life, he might have been intelligent.]
End game is to give the cow heated floors. She likes that.

People do show up to help. It's fine.
