You are good enough for me. as long as you tell me of your adventures when you return.

[ When he straightens, she does too, reaching out to test the cooking rabbit. ]
As long as you don't yell at me about them. I already get enough of that.

[He will call her Miss Earp. He will give her the Look. He will passive aggressively clean around her.
He will never yell at her.]

[ You say that now, Wynonna, wait until the passive aggressive cleaning starts... ]
Come on. Let's finish up here and go check out the new place.

[He stands, stretching out tired and sore limbs, gathering the rest of the rabbit and wrapping it carefully in the hide. It can be salted for later. He kicks snow and dirt atop the fire, dousing it, making sure nothing can be used to spread.
His meager belongings go into a small pack, which he tosses onto his shoulders.]
How far is it?

[ Although there's no time like the present to get used to it. She wishes, not for the first and almost definitely not for the last time, for Doc. He'd be able to show her how to get as good with her offhand as her currently unusable right. ]
It's right on the lake, with a couple other cabins.

[He follows after her, his own rifle slung along his back.]
I have seen those cabins. I certainly would not have been able to afford them.

[ She could have afforded one, if she'd sold Peacemaker like she originally planned. But she knows now that could never have been. She was locked in from the day the Seven came to the homestead and stole her sister away. ]
The guy who taught me to shoot... he's as good with his left as his right. But he was maybe the greatest gunslinger that ever lived. Which he'd be the first to tell you, if he ever showed up here. Not a humble guy, Doc.

This all sounds - very American. [Gunslingers and doc. Odd.]

[ A hundred and thirty years ago. Doc hadn't even been born until after Thomas' time, but maybe it's not so surprising after all that she's found a certain kinship with the men here who found themselves launched into the present from the past. She looks over at him as they walk. ]
Guessing you got wild west stories over in England even in your time, if it sounds American to you.

[Jopson shrugs, digging the butt of hi rifle into the ground as they walk.]

Let me know if you come across any familiar names.
[ It's possible. Wyatt Earp became more myth than man in the decades since his death, and he looms large in a certain kind of story. But then again, Jopson's just as likely to pick up a book about his own lost expedition up here. ]
I bet this is the first time in a while you've had time to sit and read.

[He smiles and gestures ahead.]
It is nice to read something else. Is that our destination?

[ The cabin is so big it can hardly be called a cabin, set there at the edge of the lake. There are a few others, scattered along the shoreline, but she leads him towards the one she'd left not that long ago. ]
They've all got ridiculous names... this one's 'Jackrabbit.'
[ Not that there's any logic to that naming convention as far as she can see. She brings him up to the door and inside, where the great room is filled with sunlight that comes through the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out toward the lake. ]
It's got two suites... tons of room.
