[ Wynonna levels a look at him — faintly exasperated, but there's understanding there, too. ]
Save the ultimatums for bad guys. They never end well with someone you like. Never. It's only ever gonna make them want to do the thing you don't want them to do.
[ Spoken like someone who's received more than one ultimatum in her life, Wynonna... ]
So, let me guess. She came along?

[ At least he's willing to admit to that. Even though it's very, very embarrassing. In fact, Bigby even manages to look kind of brave about admitting it, rather than looking as fully pathetic as he's feeling whenever he thinks about that happening.
Sure, they made up afterwards, but that doesn't make it any more fun to think back on! ]
Also-- what else was I supposed to do, Wynonna? If someone is dead here, they're dead! We're not used to that! It's not how shit usually happens back where we come from. [ So having to cope with that idea here sucks. It's what makes him extra protective. There's never been this much on the line for him before.
Maybe that's why Bigby doesn't seem angry here. Grumpy, maybe. Gruff, definitely.
But right underneath that? He just seems worried. ]
And I've got no clue what the hell I'm going to do if I lose her.

[ She's maybe the last person he should ask about any of this: she doesn't take well to ultimatums, either. But that's not what really catches her attention. ]
Are you trying to tell me people don't stay dead where you're from?
[ She has her own experiences with people who don't stay dead, but Bigby's never mentioned anything like the revs. She somehow doubts he'd mention it so off-handedly if there were a chance his main squeeze would come back a little more hellish and a whole lot less human after getting snuffed out. ]

But.. well, they're so far away from his world right now. Bigby even doubts Wynonna is a mundy directly from his own world - and besides, if he asked her to keep it a secret, he knows she would. He can count on her more than he can count on most people.
.. not to mention that he really does not want to answer the first question, so answering the second one is just fine with him, thanks. ]
We don't die so easily. [ He starts to explain. ] The more well-known your story is among mundies, the harder you are to kill. Do you know how many people know the story of the Big Bad Wolf? [ Bigby pauses, like he's allowing her to think about it, but-- he's pretty sure she's got a good idea just how wide spread it is. ] I've gotten shot at more times than you could count on both hands at once, and I just walked it off. Not to say that someone couldn't kill me if they really tried, but-- that's the thing. They'd really have to try. I've bested entire armies before.
[ If it wasn't for the frown on his face, that'd totally be a humble brag - but in this mood it seems more like Bigby just listing facts.
He shakes his head a little. ]
It's the same for Snow. I mean. [ .. he was keeping this secret too, but Wynonna surely wouldn't blab, right? ] You can probably guess her full name. Her story is pretty well known too among mundies, so the same counts for her.

[ And a bummer that it won't work for them here, but she can't drum up too much sympathy, seeing as she's an extremely breakable non-magical person even when she isn't stuck in this insane winter wasteland. ]
Look, I get it. There are people I need to keep an eye on, too. At home and here. But since you can't stuff her in bubblewrap and put her away in a cabinet somewhere, you're gonna have to change things up. Figure out how to do stuff with her.
[ She shrugs, then winces as it tugs at her hurt arm. ]
Maybe she'll surprise you.

[ He doesn't sound too convinced, but it isn't Wynonna's fault. It's this dumb place's fault. It's the fault of him not having a real solution to this entire problem, of him having to sit with the uncertainty of the fact that he can't protect people as well in this place as he could back home.
And even back home it was iffy at times.
Bigby slowly closes his eyes, letting out a long exhale of breath. Something about the man looks really tired. It's probably got something to do with what he was talking about earlier, him trying to get rid of the sudden group of wildcats along the route between here and Milton. ]
I should get back to work. [ He says - despite looking like he won't even make it too far from Wynonna's cabin without collapsing. ]

[ She watches as his eyes slide closed, as he slumps deeper into his seat. There's no chance he's going back right now. She half-lifts her hurt arm, wiggling it, and directs her best pathetic look at him, eyes huge and melting. She's so helpless, Bigby! You can't possibly leave her alone like this! ]
But if you leave, who's going to be here to make sure I don't hurt myself again? What if I need to get a glass out of a high cabinet?

Mostly just to look over at her and make sure that Wynonna can see that his gaze has such an edge of exasperation in it. Very tired exasperation, but exasperation all the same. ]
How come I never see this side of you when I'm trying to get you to slow down and be careful?
[ Why can't you pull out the helpless act at an actually opportune time, huh, girl. ]
no subject
Because then it wouldn't help me get my way.
[ But it will here and now, because however exasperated Bigby might be with her, he still cares, for some inexplicable reason. Obviously she's going to exploit that to turn the tables on him. ]
C'mon, just stay a while. What's the worst that could happen?
no subject
Even though, technically speaking, it's not totally impossible in this wild-ass place. ]
Or, and possibly even worse-- [ Bigby turns his head, looking at her. Raising an eyebrow. ] You might get tired of my company way quicker than you think you would.
