"Yeah, you could say that."

Colleagues, really; Hank's a good guy, but he's more into the mutant outreach stuff than Logan's ever going to be fully comfortable with. The big blue guy has bought into Xavier's dream of living alongside humans, all too happy to put himself on TV to prove that mutants can be just like everyone else. Given the choice, Logan would prefer to just be left alone by humans and mutants alike.

He takes another sip of coffee and frowns thoughtfully, looking over at Wynonna.

"So. You've been here a while?"

"What's a girl like me doing in a place like this, right?" She sets her left hand on her hip, elbow cocked, like they've met in some dive bar somewhere and her right arm isn't still tucked into a sling at her side, like they're drinking whiskey neat instead of bad coffee with expired creamer. "Seven months, give or take. Woke up here around the end of October."

She lifts her eyebrows, slouches back against the table to give him a wry, blasé glance. "And it's been a non-stop thrill ride ever since. Zero out of five stars. If I had a working phone, I'd give this place such a bad Yelp review."

Wynonna tips her chin at him, his bandaged hands. "But every now and again something interesting comes along. Or someone."
