[ She wants desperately to lean into his touch and satisfy the yearning to be closer to him. After losing him and grieving for so long, she can't ever get enough of him. Just being in the same room together is a gift, and anything more than that... But even after what they've shared, she's afraid to overstep, afraid to assume and ruin this thing between them that feels both precious and fragile.

So she doesn't lean in, but she does match his smile with a grateful one of her own. He knows her so well. ]
