It isn't too long until Kate's heading out of the Hall, putting her gloves back on as she goes. She's all done helping out, helping organise the place for when the storm finally hits. She's not staying, this time. She'll be heading back home for it. ]

Okay, Merry. We're all good to— [ Kate stops dead in her tracks, eyes wide and lips parted for a long moment as she looks at the scene of one wolf-pup squirm beneath a much larger wolf. One she... doesn't recognise. ]

( friendly is a stronger word than what jason would give to himself. but he's here, lounging on top of her puppy, forepaws over his midsection as his ears perk up and focus on her.

it checks out. she does look like the kind of person who tim would get a big ol' crush on. which just leaves him with one more thing to clarify before he releases merry and lets them go on their way. his mouth opens, lips twisted into a snarl that's meant to look frightening. like he's threatening her, even if most of his body language is still reading rather - neutral. he's not getting up from his perch on top of merry, just waiting to see how she reacts to some asshole sitting on top of her dog growling at her, as if she's the one who's in his way. rather than the other way around. )

[ Even with dealing with a few people in wolf forms, Kate's still not all that familiar with wolf communication. But the likes of Sheriff Wolf or Lieutenant Little or Wynonna have specifically acted in ways to make themselves less scary around her. Because yeah, a wolf growling at her is scary to someone like her. Interloper or not, she knows fine well a wolf can seriously hurt her. ]

Hey, I'm not— [ She takes a step back, raising her hands in a defensive gesture. ] Just— just leave him alone, okay? Please?

[ Merry on the other hand, who's fallen still at Kate's arrival, will start wriggling again — giving a whine: Hey, don't growl at my mom—! Be cool, man—! ]
