The people who took them in were taken away.
When they're older, I was thinking about training them to be a team. A sled would be useful here.

You can train small or larger teams of dogs to pull a small, light sled on runners. Like a sleigh for horses, if you've seen one of those.
With a good team and driver, you can travel quickly over a long distance while bringing supplies with you.

I didn't know people did that. Or maybe they just didn't do it anywhere I've been.

But enough people still use sleds as a hobby or for supplies that I've found equipment here. Dief can pull a small sled by himself, but nothing too heavy.
