She doesn't quite know who this mangy looking wolf is, exactly, but there's definitely something pinging familiar about him. Not that it matters. Already got all the pack I need.
Sure, it's a small one: just her and Little, her and Bigby and whoever else Bigby considers 'pack', her and March, but she's never needed a big pack. Hell, back home she does just fine with only Waverly and Doc and Dolls backing her up. Go play with some other pup. ]

Granted, some members of the pack aren't wolves. Kieren. Billy. But they're still pack, they still count. But having another wolf on the team? Another one to join them in the hunt, to help Hickey out? To help them all here be better? That would be amazing.
He nudges Wynonna again, purely being a shit, as through their weird wolf connection, he lists names.
Chloe. Little. Givens. All wolves, yeah? We work well together. ]

Yeah, no wonder the weird half-ingratiating half-arrogant energy seemed familiar. She growls and snaps at him again, ears flattening. Like Little would ever buddy up with you.
She remembers it perfectly well, the day Edward came running for help, how he told her Hickey was dangerous, how he fretted about the guy coming after Kate. The last thing she wants is to help him, either as a human or a wolf. Get someone else to join your stupid club. ]

Interesting.
It's truly amazing how even as a wolf, Hickey manages to give Wynonna a look that's pure 'keep telling yourself that.' You're wrong, buddy. Absolutely wrong. He lets out a little bark that sounds like a laugh before shaking his head slightly.
This isn't the first time we've worked together. Won't be the last. You don't know anything. ]

Sure, she's heard about his lies and machinations back during the Expedition, but none of those hold quite as much water for her as her own experiences, and in her own experience, a guy who lies about something as stupid and low stakes as knowing how to play poker is a guy who'll lie about pretty much everything and anything else. Buzz off. ]

Hickey's still got an attitude of pure 'I know something you don't know,' a shitty little aura as he backs away from Wynonna. He'll let her be for the moment. After all, he knows he's right. He knows what's what.
Talk to Little. You'll see then. ]
