"Oi, I wouldn't say you can't trust anyone," Hickey points out. He reaches over to give Chloe a light, joking little tap on the shoulder. "Trust you, after all. You're one of my mates. More sensible than half the people here, which is a vastly underrated trait."

“God, you sap,” Chloe laughs fondly. “That's fair, though. Our little group takes care of each other.”

"Someone's got to," Hickey grins. "As this place seems bound and determined to try and kill us and I certainly don't trust half these idiots to manage it."

“Right, it's us keeping them alive.” Debatable, but she believes it. “It's always been like that for me, but I haven't always had people I could rely on. I'm glad you're here.”
