• During the first day's arrival, once things were relatively calm at the feast, Five pitched an idea of organized efforts for exploration. Feel free to use that speech for a jumping-off point for CR, whether you want to handwave your character having approached him that day OR to approach him another day because of it.

• He has made a message board of sorts out of supplies he's found and set it up as a community-wide info dump; the board is in the Community Hall where they all first initially gathered and he will be leaving notes on it every day letting people know where he's going, with updates to what he discovered that day added when he gets back. This can also be used as a CR-jumping point!
