Well, that's not really surprising. "Yeah, it's not anything that'd get her something so there's no real reason to lie about. It's real fucking crazy, but I guess if one of these places exists why not more."

“That's a good point. There's all kinds of supernatural bullshit out there. Were the other ones at least nicer than this?” One on a beach might not be so bad.

"One of them was supposed to be really nice. At this point I'd settle for 'warm.' Heh."

“Right? Maybe not a desert, though.” They don't need the landscape trying to kill them in a different way.

"Yeah...a desert or a deserted island or something would be bad." Imagine being stuck on an island where its almost as hot there as it is cold here. He's not sure if that would be better or worse than Milton's climate.

“The last time I was involved in desert stuff there were all these bugs trying to kill us all the time.” No fun at all.

"Like really big bugs? Or just normal ones? Though being swarmed by normal sized bugs would suck too."

“Big for a bug. About the size of my hand, maybe.” They were so gross. “They made this weird sound, too, and they were scared of fire.”

Not man sized bugs, but that's pretty big for a bug. "Glad I missed those. I hope we don't need to deal with bugs here. I don't think they're around as much when its cold."

“Yeah, I think a lot of them are underground for winter or something.”

There were lots of bugs in the ground so, "That makes sense. Maybe they hibernate like bears or something."

“The bears here aren't hibernating, though.” Weird that bugs still would, though she shouldn't look a gift not constantly being attacked by bugs in the mouth.

"Yeah...but things are weird here. The wolves glow sometimes and are way more aggressive than they should be. Um, except for the ones who are people."

“We still do that sometimes - I changed during an aurora a while back and tore apart half my house.” No idea if she’d been glowing, though.

"Shit, really?" Pause. "Was it the full moon? Or just the aurora?" Books it was the full moon, but here has not matched the expectations fiction has given to him.

“I’m not sure. I didn't go outside, and when I came to it wasn't dark anymore.” She pretty much never pays attention to the moon now that she's a wolf and can see better at night. Bad idea, maybe.
